Stir Shaft Safety Collar

This collar is constructed of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW), providing a higher impact resistance than PTFE. Placed on the stir shaft, just above the bearing, this collar provides protection against the possibility of the stir shaft dropping and hitting the bottom of the vessel.

Stir Shaft PTFE Washer

This washer is manufactured from virgin PTFE to provide smooth, non binding rotation of stir shafts. Placed below the safety collar, this washer provides protection against wear as result of the stir shaft separating from the coupling, and the safety collar falling and rotating against the stir bearing.

Motor to Stir Shaft Coupling, Helical Design

This shaft coupling is machined from a solid piece of 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum. It has a double helical coil pattern machined thru the body to the ID which gives the coupling excellent performance in transmitting torque, compensating for misalignment, producing constant velocity and assuring smooth bearing loads. The couplings measure 2" OD x 5" long.

Shaft Coupling Bushings

This bushing is used on the stir shaft end of 785820 series helical couplings. It is machined from PTFE and provides glass stir shafts protection against contact with the metal coupling.
