(10) PTFE bearing surfaces are suitable for use with all 785730 and 785750 series polished 19mm OD stir shafts. Available in configurations of Beaded Pressure Pipe, Conical Pipe, or Standard Taper Joints. Capable of vacuum to 1mm Hg, and can operate at speeds of up to approx. 200 RPM for many hours with negligible wear.
(10) Precision honed glass inner bearing is self-aligned when assembled into the glass adapter with a PTFE bushing and o-ring. This bearing is suitable for use with 785760 and 785770 series 19mm PTFE stir shafts. Capable of attaining vacuum to 1 mm Hg, and can operate at speeds up to 200 RPM for many hours with negligible wear.
This heavy duty stir bearing is constructed of a Rulon® body and threaded bushing, and a UHMW polyethylene lock nut. This bearing is for use with 785780 series 1 3/16" dia. polished stir shafts. Recommended for high viscosity/lower speed applications. May be used with either beaded-or conical-style flange sets. Operates at a maximum of 350 RPM. Rulon® has a continuous operating temperature of 550ºF (287ºC), and has more wear resistance than PTFE.
This stir bearing was designed with industrial applications in mind. Some of the important features of this stir bearing are (1) that there is no metal in the wetted surface areas, (2) this assembly provides a double mechanical seal around the stir shaft and (3) the stir shaft self-aligns to the bearing. The illustration shows the bearing assembled with an optional mounting plate. These mounting plates are available in 316 stainless steel, PTFE polymer coated 316 stainless steel and Hastelloy. All mounting plates are machined with a standard ANSI bolt pattern. This stir bearing is for use with 785790 series 1 1/4" dia. polished stir shafts. Order mounting plates separately.
